The Shire’s 2024 Community Grants Program will open on Monday, 11 March 2024.
The Shire of Harvey is set to bring local project aspirations to life when the 2024 Community Grants funding round opens next month. The Grants Program is an annual opportunity for incorporated not-for-profit organisations and community groups to develop infrastructure and events that further the Shire’s 10-year Strategic Community Plan. Last year, the Shire of Harvey and community partner Alcoa supported 17 local projects with $417,997 in funding. Shire President Michelle Campbell said there was renewed appetite to fund more initiatives that give the Harvey Region an edge. “We love supporting bold projects that keep local organisations and venues ahead of the curve across amenity, sustainability and recreation,” the Shire President said. “This year, we are focused on powering community ideas that enhance public spaces, modernise or expand facilities, preserve our historical sites and support the creative and athletic talent we have in the Harvey Region.” “We’re excited to hear your project proposals.” The 2024 Community Grants program has the following funding categories: Community Support; Placemaking; Infrastructure; Arts, Culture and Heritage; Community Events; Coastal Communities; Athlete Travel Subsidy and the Alcoa Harvey Sustainability Fund. The next funding round will open Monday, 11 March and close Friday, 19 April 2024. For more information, visit Community Grants and Funding.
