Permits to burn are required for the restricted burning period and must be obtained from the Bush Fire Control Officer.

The Shire of Harvey has upgraded and updated small infrastructure in the Region. View the latest changes below:

Uduc Hall

  • Two air conditioner units have been installed at Uduc Hall this month and another two unit installations are planned. The upgrades are designed to make Uduc Hall more comfortable for users.

Australind spider gates

  • The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions has donated two spider gates to the Shire of Harvey. They were installed at Mardo and Barnes Avenue and Valentine Way and Barnes Avenue in Australind.

Collie River Bridge

  • An emergency services vehicle track and access gate control have been installed at Collie River. The Shire has also constructed a pad for interpretive signage and seating near Collie River Bridge.

Fence and gate installations, Australind

  • Heavy Vehicle Gate installed on Paris Road.
  • Dual lock Heavy Vehicle Gate installed on The Promenade, 200m south of Paris Road with Water Corp lock.
  • Farm gate installed on Grand Entrance, next to Australind SES driveway.
  • Fence along Paris Road has been repaired.
  • Dilapidated fencing wire on Shire reserve has been removed.
  • Fence along Grand Entrance has been repaired and re-tensioned.
  • Heavy Vehicle Gate installed on track under Danjoo Koorliny Bridge.
  • Heavy Vehicle Gate installed on track from road verge by Danjoo Koorliny Bridge.

Cookernup Hall

  • A new drinking fountain and dog bowl has been installed at Cookernup Hall.
