A six-panel information bay just north of Yarloop has been upgraded with new maps, visitor information and photography.
Visitors travelling along South Western Highway now have a new way to discover what the Harvey Region has to offer A six-panel information bay just north of Yarloop has been upgraded with new maps, visitor information and photography. The upgrades, implemented by the Shire of Harvey’s Destination Harvey Region team, are the first in a two-stage process which will also see a new roof installed on the key visitor information structure. Based on the Shire’s new Signage and Infrastructure Style Guide (adopted in late 2022), the new panels provide visitors with an informative and visually intriguing overview of the Harvey Region, the town of Yarloop, and the historic Yarloop Workshops. In a show of celebration and collaboration with the community, two of the six panels feature work from local photographers, Paul Johnston and Bianca Turri. Shire of Harvey President Paul Gillett said the new information panels were a great step forward in offering the best experience to visitors. “It’s great to see the first stage of the Yarloop Information Bay upgrades complete,” Cr Gillett said. “The new panels provide a fantastic service to those travelling through the Harvey Region, letting them know what they can do during their visit and highlighting the unique history of Yarloop”.
