Night roadworks will start on Forrest Highway on Tuesday, 10 May 2022.
In preparation for an upcoming long-term traffic diversion to enable construction of the interchange where Bunbury Outer Ring Road meets Forrest Highway, the South West Gateaway Alliance need to move traffic onto temporary lanes.
This will be achieved in stages and requires some night works. From Tuesday, 10 May until Thursday, 12 May, there will be some night works from 7pm to 7am at Forrest Highway, Paris Road and Clifton Road areas. The no right hand turn at Clifton Road will remain in place until 13 May.
From 13 May 2022 traffic on Forrest Highway will be shifted onto temporary lanes. Two lanes will still be open in both directions and access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained through a realigned route.
The speed limit will be reduced to accommodate for the change in road layout which will stay in place until May 2023.
