Shire of Harvey Council agreed to move ahead with Stage 1 of the Yarloop Workshops Redevelopment at a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, 13 December 2022. The contract for the development is currently with FIRM Construction Pty Ltd, but the company has recently entered voluntary administration. Shire of Harvey Council President Paul Gillett said it was clear the Yarloop Project was important to the community, so Council decided to move quickly to progress the work. “Council is working hard to get the Yarloop Workshops Redevelopment completed, and the Shire is working within the process to achieve a positive outcome for Stage 1 of the Project,” Cr Gillett said. “We will provide updates along the way as further information comes to hand.”
