COVID-19 Contact Tracing

COVID-19 Contact Tracing
07 Dec 2020

From Saturday, 5 December 2020 some public venues in the Shire must maintain a contact register of their staff and and patrons for COVID-19 contact tracing.

To keep all Western Australians safe, particular businesses and venues must maintain a contact register of their staff and patrons for COVID-19 contact tracing, if required.

The following venues in the Shire will keep a register:

  • Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre.
  • Leschenault Leisure Centre.
  • Dr Topman Memorial Swimming Pool.
  • Shire of Harvey libraries.

Anyone who attends these venues is required to register their contact details. This includes patrons, staff, volunteers and contractors. Manual contact tracing is available at reception or on entry if you are unable to use the SafeWA app. Please follow signage available at each entry point and follow directions from staff.

For outdoor sporting venues that have indoor toilets, change room and function room facilities there is no requirement for contact registration, if visiting these venues in connection with an outdoor sporting event.

If the venue is being hired for a function, contact registration requirements apply in accordance with requirement for function centres.

The contact register records are only held for 28 days.
