Work Experience

The Shire of Harvey offers work experience placements for students. Working in a dynamic local government environment, students will gain valuable experience in a diverse range of careers and work locations.

To be eligible for work experience you must be either:

  • A secondary school student who is at least 15 years old
  • A student undertaking training with a registered training organisation (ie. TAFE)
  • A university student

Students must be registered with a recognised school, tertiary institution or referral agency that covers them for personal insurance and public liability.

If you would like to be considered for work experience, please complete the application form below and email to humanresources@harvey.wa.gov.au

Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed and a suitable placement determined for you.

Please note, we try to accommodate all students who apply, however due to limited resources, we may not be able to fulfil all requests.

Prior to commencement, all successful candidates will be required to provide a certificate of insurance for the duration of their placement.
