This position is responsible for undertaking projects and tasks in the development and maintenance of the Shire’s roads, paths and drainage infrastructure in a safe and efficient manner to the high standards required by the Shire. Suitable applicants must hold a current MR licence and a WA White Card.

Benefits and Conditions
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Municipal Employees’ (WA) Award 2021 and Enterprise Agreement with a salary payable for this position of Level 4 ($65,936 to 67,922) per annum, depending on qualifications and experience and benefits such as:
- Superannuation of 11.5 per cent occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee’s voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided employee contributes an amount of at least 5 per cent or 6 per cent of their own salary.
- Full-time position 76.50 hours per fortnight. Hours of work are from 7.00am to 4.00pm per day Monday to Friday with a 9 day fortnight.
- Four weeks paid annual leave, including a 17.5 per cent leave loading.
- A probationary period of three months is applicable to this position.
- Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.
- A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
