Harvey Senior Citizens Centre Expansion

Project overview

With over 300 current members, the Harvey Senior Citizens Centre offers a range of social and well-being activities every week.

However, with a growing proportion of seniors living in Harvey, the Centre is experiencing an increase in the demand for services and is unable to cater for this potential growth in its membership base. The expansion project will see the addition of a brand new social area, office space, accessible toilets and facade upgrades.

In July 2020, the Shire prioritised the upgrade of the Centre will Council allocating $125,000 towards the project.

As a key project of the Shire's Advocacy Priorities 2020 - 2021, the expansion received a further $610,000 from the Government of Western Australia(External link).

Construction is curently underway, with an expected completion date in October 2024.
