Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) that is unhosted requires Development Approval for a ‘change of use’.
For unhosted STRA that are already operating without a Development Approval, there is an additional application fee of $590 (twice the standard ‘change of use’ fee of $295) as a penalty.
For applications submitted up to and including 30 June 2025, the additional penalty fee will be waived.
