Situated just a stone’s throw away from the City of Bunbury, the Harvey Region provides an exciting blend of the historic and the contemporary, with a tranquil coastline and undulating countryside all on your doorstep.

Our Towns

Australind, Leschenault, Kingston and Treendale

Located between the Brunswick and Collie Rivers and overlooking the Leschenault Estuary, Australind includes the suburbs of Kingston, Treendale and Clifton Park.

Located adjacent to Australind (forming part of the greater Australind area), the semi-rural area of Leschenault is a peaceful, nature-filled retreat within easy reach of urban amenities.

Well-connect to Perth and other major regional centres, the great-Australind area has excellent access to schools and aged care facilities, two major shopping centres, highly-equipped sporting facilities, and a rich cultural heritage.

Binningup and Myalup

The laid-back hamlets of Binningup and Myalup are nestled along the Harvey Region’s 42 kilometres of pristine coast. Binningup is a growing residential area, with a relaxed lifestyle and close proximity to urban amenities.

Myalup is adjacent to the Yalgorup National Park (an internationally-recognised RAMSAR wetland) and contributes significantly to WA’s horticultural economy, being responsible for 10% of the state’s total fruit and vegetable output.

Brunswick Junction, Beela, Mornington and Benger

Brunswick Junction is a strong agricultural community situated at the foothills of the Darling Scarp along the Brunswick River. Known for its important historical (and continuing) contributions to the WA dairy industry, Brunswick is also home to a leading show grounds which hosts one of the state’s largest agricultural shows.

The surrounding localities of Mornington, Beela and Benger support expansive farm properties and forest areas that stretch along the picturesque Darling Range and the rich Harvey Region hinterland.

Harvey and Wokalup

Surrounded by lush farmland and orchards, Harvey and Wokalup offer a peaceful country lifestyle with all the essential amenities. Harvey, in particular, boasts a rich multicultural community, including sizeable Italian and Filipino populations.

The area is known for its produce and strong agricultural focus, supporting world-leading businesses such as Harvey Beef, Harvey Fresh, and Harvey Citrus.

It is also home to several highly-regarded education institutes including a high school, public and private primary schools, a TAFE campus, and one of Western Australia’s leading agricultural colleges.

Roelands

Roelands is a rapidly growing residential community with stunning views over the coastal plains and abundant farmland surrounds.

Located just 20 minutes from Bunbury and 10 minutes from Australind, it is also home to an independent Christian school providing excellent education opportunities for families in the area.

Yarloop and Cookernup

Yarloop is a historic town with a unique and fascinating heritage, including its past as an internationally renowned timber town. While the timber industry is no longer active, Yarloop is still a great place to live and work, with a strong sense of community and a range of local amenities.

Cookernup is a charming village located just a short distance from Yarloop, with a General Store and hall that provide essential services. Nearby, Lake Brockman is a popular destination for fishing, camping and outdoor activities.
