The Shire of Harvey has partnered with Water Corporation to discourage people from blocking the loo!
The Shire of Harvey has partnered with Water Corporation to deliver the Think Before You Flush Campaign. Think Before You Flush posters, flyers and stickers are now available at Shire of Harvey Administration Centres and Libraries for people to share at home and with businesses. The initiative is designed to discourage people from flushing cotton buds, wet wipes, paper towel, tissues and other non-flushable items down the toilet. According to Water Corporation, even items marketed as "flushable" can cause blockages in the wastewater network or end up in the ocean, so it is safest to only flush human waste and toilet paper. To report a fault with the wastewater system, phone Water Corporation’s 24 hour Faults, Emergencies and Security line on 13 13 75.
