Logue Brook Dam upgrades

Logue Brook Dam upgrades
04 Dec 2023

Water Corporation will commence remedial works at Logue Brook Dam in early December 2023.

To ensure visitors continue to safely enjoy Logue Brook Dam, Water Corporation is planning to upgrade the embankment located on the northern part of the reservoir.

As part of the works, authorised contractor, BCP Civil, will need to remove an existing section of Blackburn Road to allow the placement of new material in the embankment. A new public road will be re-constructed over the dam crest.

The dam remains open for visitor activities including boating and fishing, however, only the southern dam bank remains accessible to the public. The Lake Brockman Tourist Park, Logue Brook Dam Campsite, and Brockman Campground remain open and can be accessed via Scarp Road.

Construction is planned to commence on Thursday, 7 December and will take approximately 6-8 months to complete, depending on the weather.

Working hours will be between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Please refer to the map below for relevant road, picnic site, and dam bank closures and the Munda Bidda Cycle Trail deviation.
