New Kitchen Facilities at the PAV

New Kitchen Facilities at the PAV
05 Jul 2021

The Leschenault Recreation Park sporting pavilion, also known as "the PAV" has new kitchen facilities and can now cater for larger functions and events.

The sporting pavilion known as "the PAV" is a family friendly community venue with a restaurant and licensed bar facilities.

The facilities and club-rooms are managed and run by the Leschenault Sporting Association (LSA) - a group of six local, community minded, sporting clubs.

Due to increased catering demands from the sporting club patrons, the original kitchen that was established in 2014 needed to be improved. The LSA Board has worked tirelessly to finalise the kitchen upgrade.

Shire of Harvey President Paul Gillett said that venues like this are much more than just sporting grounds, they also provide the community with facilities for diverse social interaction.

“The facilities provide a safe, welcoming and affordable venue for the community,” Cr Gillett said.

"Great efforts from everyone involved in this project.”

The kitchen was upgraded with a new deep fryer, range hood, extra burners, ice machine, dishwasher, oil filtering machine and a salamander grill.

The kitchen upgrade was made possible thanks to the Alcoa Harvey Sustainability Fund and the Shire of Harvey.
