Virtually surrounded by water with the Brunswick and Collie Rivers and the Leschenault Estuary, it's a great place for boating, sailing, windsurfing, and fishing, and even puts you within easy reach of an unforgettable encounter with wild dolphins.

Australind is located just 11 kilometres north of Bunbury and is only a 90-minute drive south of Perth.  Australind adjoins Eaton, Bunbury and Dalyellup and is a great place to bring up a family and to head to for cafes, a shopping spree and one of Australia’s largest pubs.

We seek an energetic individual, suitably qualified and experienced to lead our Community Development business unit, including management of specific major projects and the provision of strategic direction to meet the future needs of the community.

Benefits

Up to a three-year contract with an attractive salary of up to $130,000 with an annual review will be negotiated, dependent on experience and qualifications and benefits such as:

  • Superannuation of 11 per cent from date of commencement, with an opportunity for the Shire to match an employee’s voluntary contribution of five or six per cent to their nominated plan.
  • Private use of a Shire vehicle in accordance with Shire Policy.
  • A mobile phone for business use in accordance with Shire Policy.
  • Professional memberships up to the value of $500 per annum.
  • Professional development up to the value of $1,500 per annum.
  • Full-time position, located at the Australind Administration Building.
  • Four weeks paid annual leave.
  • One rostered day off is available after every 19 working days. 
  • Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.         

A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
